A 46-year-old man attempted to rob a supermarket in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Belgrano, fled, and was subsequently detained by the City Police during the chase. The incident took place in the early hours of this Friday when a police officer was on service on Roosevelt at 3000 and was alerted by a neighbor to what was happening just a few meters away. Upon encountering the police, the criminal fled but was detained after a foot chase. Furthermore, the 46-year-old man was charged with attempted robbery. The detainee had 23 prior records, 5 of which were for robbery, 12 for theft, 3 for attempted robbery, and another 3 for injury, resisting authority, and street harassment.
